100% Irish-owned, Petmania is the leading pet retailer in Ireland with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in the pet retail sector. The business partnered with TapCreative for a comprehensive year-long collaboration focusing on Brand Development, Communications, and the redesign of their stores.

The objective was to rejuvenate the brand and enhance the overall customer and pet experience across all Petmania outlets. Through strategic initiatives, including customer research and store reinvigoration, Petmania aims to set new standards in the pet retail sector.

Our Task

Brand Development:

  • Evolve and strengthen the Petmania brand identity.
  • Enhance brand positioning and recognition.


  • Develop a suite of assets for effective instore communication strategies to connect with customers.
  • Improve internal communication to ensure consistent messaging.

Customer Research:

  • Conduct comprehensive customer research and focus groups to understand sentiments and needs.
  • Utilise findings to inform strategic decisions and improvements.

Store Redesign:

  • Rejuvenate the physical stores to create a more engaging and customer-friendly environment.
  • Implement changes to enhance the overall shopping experience.

  • Brand Experience Audit & Workshops
  • Conducted a thorough analysis and Audit of the existing brand experience
  • Customer Research:
    • Conducted surveys, focus groups, and interviews to gather insights.

  • Store Redesign:
    • Worked closely with Petmania to redesign and reinvigorate two stores initially.
    • Ongoing collaboration for additional store reinvigoration projects.
