Song Tales is an interactive musical production for children, created by Ceol Connected. A collective of Irish musicians, artists, and creatives with the purpose of fostering creativity in children and supporting their development through music and storytelling.

Our brief was to create the Song Tales brand identity, from a logo right through to the website design. Along with designing and developing an at-home interactive musical theatre experience subscription box for children and the ‘Sa Spéir’ van. A mobile stage equipped to bring a high-quality outdoor live music experience to preschools and primary schools across the country.

A playful design

The design of the logo mark was inspired by the music and children dancing at the Song Tales shows. This physical element of the brand is represented in the logo through the creation of a font style that nods to movement.

The design for the Song Tales subscription and single box kit includes a story and an activity booklet. Other assets in the box enable children to create a piece of art inspired by each song. Sustainability was considered through use eco-friendly box packaging materials.

The front-end website was designed with various interfaces ranging from subscribing to a Song Tales box to purchasing a single box, as well as finding shows near you, booking tickets, and accessing the music library associated with the activities in the box itself.
