Robustly positioning a start up in the heart of Dublin’s beauty scene

Reflecting creative professionalism

South William Street in Dublin is arguably the city’s prime location for all things beauty with a plethora established brands catering to a wide range of discerning tastes. Here, we helped to carve a contemporary new boutique hair salon for owner Mark Byrne. With a career spanning 20 years in the Irish hair industry, he is renowned for offering the highest salon experience and client care. His dedication to his craft is ultimately what informed our visual narrative and brand identity.

We set out to imagine ways for his clients to get a sense of that professionalism and assurance that were in the best hands. Our design had to embody this ethos. Coupled with a sense of relaxation, it established a brand experience that felt exclusive, almost like a private club.

Create, cultivate, educate

The contemporary logotype is proudly minimal and robust. Details like the angled crossbar of ‘H’ lend a dynamic engery and depth that is expressed as a graphic device across the brand. A rich, duotone colour palette of brass and navy is nods towards the exclusivity of the brand but also builds warmth and a welcoming tone.

The look and feel of the brand is lived through the interior where we were engaged to give the overarching direction. Everything the client touches is designed to embrace a premium quality and relaxed living - from the metallic accents and marble patterns, to the panelled glazing and herringbone floor.

The brand’s standards of quality and are now established, aligned with those of the owner.
